Installation & Commissioning of BTS Equipment

Scope of Work: Installation & Commissioning of BTS Equipment

The following tasks will be undertaken to ensure the successful setup and functioning of work for the installation and commissioning of BTS (Base Transceiver Station) equipment.

Receive site information from the customer, including Technical Network Diagram (TND) and Radio Network Diagram (RND) documents.

Conduct a Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) check and ensure all necessary site permissions are obtained.

Receive materials at the site and meticulously inspect them against the provided packing list. Notify the customer promptly if any deficiencies are identified.

Safely hoist GSM/CDMA antennas onto the designated tower locations, adhering to TND/RND specifications.

Professionally clamp and route RF cables from the shelter to the respective antennas.

Implement proper grounding measures for both antennas and RF cables at appropriate positions.

Ensure the installation of drip loops/Z loops at cable entry points to prevent water ingress.

Carefully arrange RF cables to avoid sharp bends that could affect performance.

Securely install the Outdoor Grounding Box (OGB) to enhance safety and functionality.

Apply effective weatherproofing techniques to safeguard the equipment against environmental elements.

Install EMPs/Surge arrestors and perform connectorization inside the shelter to safeguard against power surges.

Properly grout the BTS equipment to ensure stability and durability.

Extend power cables, electrical (El) cables, and grounding cables to connect with the BTS equipment.

Install the Indoor Grounding Box (IGB) and establish grounding connections for all peripheral equipment.

Set up the Distribution Frame (DDF) for efficient cable management.

Install the Battery bank and rectifier to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

Arrange internal cable trays to organize and manage cables effectively.

Install indoor jumpers to establish connectivity within the equipment setup.

Perform Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) checks to ensure optimal signal performance.

Power on the equipment and ensure successful startup.

Follow the defined commissioning procedure to ensure proper configuration and functionality.

Measure power levels to verify proper equipment operation.

Complete the checklist and conduct a thorough quality audit to ensure adherence to standards.

Upon successful completion of these tasks, the BTS equipment will be fully installed, commissioned, and ready for operation as per the provided scope of work.
